(469) 225-9527Cody and Sons recently held a competition called Cody and Sons Cares that allowed us to donate a brand new American Standard Air complete HVAC system to the deserving winner.
Cody and Sons is apart of a program through American Standard Air that allows us to select program benefits and this year we selected an annual charity donation. Those who decided to participate sent in nominations for friends and family they thought were deserving of a new HVAC system. There were many amazing nominations this year, however, there was one person that we felt was truly deserving, Michelle Ward.

The friends who nominated Michelle described her as a generous and caring person who is constantly thinking of others and giving back even if it meant she would be without. This past year had been a difficult one for Michelle; she lost her husband to Covid, her daughter was diagnosed with Lupus, she was in a terrible accident that left her with no transportation and injuries that still require surgery, and recently her heat went out. But, despite all of the chaos going on in Michelle’s life she still manages to put the needs of others before herself.
Michelle’s story not only stood out to her friends, a few of Cody and Sons employees were moved by her story and wanted to help out in any way they could. Christian Newberry went out to give Michelle a quote for repairs, heard her story and personally nominated her for Cody and Sons Cares. In the days before Michelle’s new HVAC was installed another employee, Paula Byrd graciously ordered her space heaters so Michelle and her family wouldn’t be without heat in the meantime. We were extremely moved by the generosity of our team members; compassion is one of our core values and they proved they shared this value.
